Paws & Think’s leadership team made the decision early last week to suspend all therapy dog visits. Almost all of our venues are closed to outside programming through early April. With that said, we know that now, more than ever, people are in need of the love and comfort a dog can bring.
Our staff has been hard at work this weekend developing activity books for hospitalized kids at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital. Our therapy team volunteers are making videos to be played in the hospital as well. Additionally, we are working with our other partners such as nursing homes to send videos and cards from our therapy dogs.
This is a time when mental health and stress reduction is very important. That is why we will be posting the various activities we are giving to our program partners over the next couple of weeks for everyone. We urge you to do one of the crossword puzzles or color a coloring sheet drawn by Gabriel Lehman who donated his talent to help. Watch a video from one of our dogs. Take a moment to relax.
