Lady as a puppy travelling to Indianapolis for her training

Hi! My name is Lady! I am a 2-year old Golden Retriever that recently joined the staff of the G. H. Herrmann Funeral Homes & Cemetery as a Facility-Based Service Dog. I will provide comfort and love to those who are mourning the loss of a loved one, as well as to my dedicated colleagues who work very hard in an emotionally challenging business.

When I was a 10-week old puppy, I travelled from Bend, Oregon to Indianapolis, Indiana to begin my training with Paws and Think, Inc. In all modesty, I was chosen to work as a service dog because of my good health genes and friendly temperament. I love being around people, especially children, and seem to have a gift for knowing when people are sad. Many people will share their emotions and secrets with me because they know I will listen and respect their feelings. I’m looking forward to my new career and will keep you informed about my experiences. Love, Lady.
