In her role as AAA/T Training Coordinator for Paws & Think, Cindy Cale is responsible for guiding individuals through the process of becoming a pet therapy team and scheduling training for prospective teams. She first got involved with Paws & Think in 2017, and she initially wanted to volunteer as a therapy team with her dog Jake, but she says, “he had other plans.” Even though she and Jake did not pass their evaluation, Cindy continued to volunteer as a class and evaluation helper. “I really enjoyed interacting with volunteers and their dogs and helping them gain confidence as they prepared for their evaluation,” she says. She eventually took on the Coordinator role to support pet therapy training.
