This video explains the reasoning behind why we suspended therapy dog visits these last few weeks. We know this is a trying time, and we wish we could have our dogs out helping. However, we have to ensure the safety of everyone and be a leader when it comes to physical distancing. Almost all our venues have stopped any outside programming to also lead the way in stopping the spread.
In the meantime, we are still sending videos to staff, patients, and program partners to help raise their spirits. We are sending cards and developing lots of new, exciting programs to help improve mental health during this crisis.
